Delhi Police Bust Dangerous ISI Underworld Terror Module

New Delhi: a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has dismantled a highly coordinated cross-border terror network operated by a lethal nexus of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Mumbai underworld.

Nine operatives have been arrested following a series of synchronized, intelligence-led raids across multiple states, effectively neutralizing an imminent threat to national security.  Senior security officials revealed that the busted module was operating directly under the instructions of Pakistan-backed handlers working in tandem with the Dawood Ibrahim criminal syndicate.

The network had been tasked with executing a series of high-impact, synchronized strikes across the country. Investigators confirmed that major Indian cities, high-value critical installations, prominent religious sites, and vital security personnel deployments were active targets on the module's immediate radar.  

The intensive counter-terror operation yielded a substantial cache of sophisticated weaponry and destructive hardware. During the coordinated raids, police teams recovered a significant quantity of advanced firearms, high-grade military explosive materials, and multiple live hand grenades meant for the planned strikes. Preliminary interrogation revealed that the group’s logistics, funding, and encrypted communications were being funneled through sophisticated cross-border networks, including handlers operating out of safe havens abroad.  

The arrested suspects, who include individuals of diverse regional backgrounds and Nepali origin, were allegedly undergoing targeted mobilization to orchestrate chaos in the national capital. This major breakthrough follows a recent, comprehensive overhaul of Delhi’s grassroots counter-terrorism framework, which mandated the creation of dedicated Counter-Terror Units (CTUs) across police stations to monitor transient populations and track underworld-linked sleeper cells.

A detailed investigation is currently underway as forensic teams analyze communication logs and financial trails to map out remaining local facilitators and trace the wider network behind the neutralised plot.
