Alia Bhatt Expresses Solidarity With Protesting Students Saying Events Have Broken Her Heart

Mumbai :  Prominent Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt extended her explicit support to the ongoing student agitation in New Delhi, issuing an emotional public statement emphasizing that the events over the last few days have "broken her heart and then mended it, again and again, with hope." The actor joined a growing cohort of film industry figures speaking out in solidarity with youth protesting against competitive examination paper leaks and demanding systemic educational reforms.  

Taking to her social media channels, Bhatt highlighted the immense personal sacrifices made by young aspirants and their families across the nation. In her note, she stated that behind every student standing their ground is a dream, a family’s hope, and a journey built on countless compromises. She noted that demonstrating candidates represent not only themselves but also future generations seeking fair and transparent evaluation frameworks. 

Bhatt lauded the resolve shown by the student movement led by groups including the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) near Jantar Mantar. She remarked that the courage of the younger generation serves as a mirror to society, questioning whether institutions and decision-makers are truly listening to those who will shape the country's future. She concluded her message with the rallying statement: "For the students. By the students.

The future is theirs."  Bhatt's public endorsement follows similar statements by actors Salman Khan, R. Madhavan, and Rajkummar Rao, along with in-person visits to protest grounds by actors Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem.
