PM SHRI JNV Ahmedabad Celebrates Navodaya Foundation Day with Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav

Ahmedabad : PM SHRI School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hathijan, Ahmedabad, celebrated Navodaya Foundation Day on August 5, 2026, with immense enthusiasm and grand cultural fervor. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region—an illustrious alumnus of JNV—alongside JNV Principal Shri R. K. Dixit by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Addressing over 550 students, faculty, and distinguished guests, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav highlighted that Navodaya Vidyalayas serve as a confluence of modern education, Indian values, innovation, and technology. He noted that from two schools in 1986, the network has expanded to 661 JNVs nationwide, supported by a strong network of 19 lakh alumni. Rooted in the principles of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘Shiksharth Aaiye, Sevarth Jaiye,’ Navodaya is nurturing Gen-Z with AI-era technological proficiency alongside strong ethical leadership to prepare them for Viksit Bharat. Reminiscing about his own journey to entering the Civil Services (IPoS), he urged students to turn their dreams into reality through perseverance and discipline.

Principal Shri R.K. Dixit emphasized JNV’s core mission of delivering quality modern education to talented rural youth and fostering national integration, environmental awareness, and sports leadership.

The celebration featured vibrant student cultural performances and an engaging Painting Competition. Manav and Mayur Thakor secured the First Prize, Mudra won Second, and Ved Parmar claimed Third. Students Khyati and Anjali compered the event smoothly. Prominent alumni, including Dr. Jayesh Vaja, Mr. Anupam Parmar, and Mr. Meghil Chauhan, shared inspiring personal stories. Vice Principal Mr. Sunil Mahrshi, along with key faculty members, parents, and guests, attended the ceremony.
