CBSE Postpones Class 12 Re-Evaluation Portal Opening Date To June 1

New Delhi: The central education board has officially revised the schedule for its post-result activities, deferring the opening of the online portal for Class 12 marks verification and re-evaluation to June 1, 2026. The window was originally slated to go live on May 29.

According to an official statement by the board, the extension was implemented to reinforce backend website infrastructure and ensure a completely seamless, transparent, and glitch-free experience for applicants. The delay follows scattered complaints from students regarding technical bottlenecks, payment gateway errors, and loading discrepancies while attempting to access scanned copies of their evaluated scripts earlier this week.

Crucial Guidelines for Candidates
Students intending to apply for re-evaluation must keep the following critical criteria in mind:

Prerequisite Step: Only candidates who previously applied for and obtained photocopies or scanned copies of their evaluated answer books during the May 20–25 window are eligible to proceed with verification or question-wise re-evaluation.

The Process: Once the portal goes live on June 1, eligible students can log into the 'Post Result Services' section on the official website using their Roll Number and Admit Card ID to select specific questions for challenge.

Fee Structure & Refunds: The board has significantly lowered its fee thresholds this year, charging ₹100 for verification of observed issues and ₹25 per disputed question for re-evaluation. Crucially, it has been assured that fees will be fully refunded if a student's marks increase after the subject-expert review.

The board has urged the student community not to panic over the slight delay, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of evaluation protocols.
