Kanpur Students Mesmerize Audience with Patriotic Performances on 80th Independence Day Celebration

Kanpur : The International Centre English School, located near Brijendra Swaroop Park in Arya Nagar, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic fervor, dignity, and grand enthusiasm. The solemn ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the national flag and the singing of the National Anthem, presided over by Chief Guest Neelima Katiyar, the MLA from the Kalyanpur constituency.

Following the flag hoisting, School Manager Sushmit Mishra inaugurated the cultural program by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Students delivered an array of energetic performances, including patriotic songs, colorful group dances, yoga demonstrations, speeches, and theatrical skits depicting the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters. Their acts brought the legacy of the national liberation movement to life, drawing widespread applause from the audience.

Addressing the gathering, the distinguished guests commended the young performers for their artistic talents and encouraged them to contribute to the nation's progress through discipline, ethical values, and academic excellence. Management Committee Member Pallavi Mishra and Director of Administration Mridu Chauhan formally welcomed the visiting dignitaries with flower bouquets and mementos.

In her concluding address, Principal Sumalika Prabhat extended heartfelt gratitude to the guests, parents, educators, and students while conveying warm Independence Day greetings. Prominent political and educational leaders graced the event as special guests, including BJP State Secretary Kiran Nishad Lodhi, Krishna Dixit, Shailendra Dwivedi, Rahul Mishra, Shailendra Awasthi, and Dr. Sanjay Srivastava from DAV Training College.
