Himachal Deputy CM Agnihotri Announces Massive ₹8.42 Crore Expansion For Haroli Hospital
Himachal Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri announces an ₹8.42 crore project to expand Haroli Civil Hospital with a new 50-bed wing.
Una (Himachal Pradesh) : In a significant move to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the Una district, Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has announced a major upgrade for the Civil Hospital in Haroli.
The state government has sanctioned a project worth ₹8.42 crore to construct a new hospital building, which will add 50 beds to the existing facility, significantly enhancing its capacity to serve the local population. The expansion is part of a broader government initiative to modernize medical services across rural Himachal Pradesh.
This new development follows a series of recent improvements at the hospital, including the installation of advanced X-ray and ultrasound machines and the ongoing process to establish a dedicated blood storage unit. Once functional, the blood storage unit will eliminate the need for patients and their families to travel to the district headquarters in Una, providing critical life-saving support directly within the Haroli sub-division.
During his recent engagements, Deputy CM Agnihotri emphasized that the government is fully committed to ensuring that quality healthcare reaches every village. The transformation of the Haroli facility is being overseen as part of a mission to meet national quality assurance standards, incorporating better infection control and hygiene practices under the 'Kayakalp' scheme.
The project, which is already in the advanced stages of planning and implementation, is expected to benefit thousands of residents in the surrounding rural belt. By bolstering infrastructure in sub-divisional hospitals, the state government aims to reduce the pressure on regional hospitals and provide more localized, efficient, and accessible care for all citizens.
