Himachal Secretariat Reshuffle: 16 Officers Get New Roles

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has carried out a significant administrative reshuffle in the state Secretariat, assigning new responsibilities to 16 officers holding the post of Superintendent Gr-II. The orders were issued by the Personnel Department under Secretariat Administration Services-I.

According to the official order, 15 officers have been given new postings following their promotion, while one officer has been transferred from the existing department to a different assignment. The move is aimed at streamlining administrative functioning and ensuring effective distribution of responsibilities across key government departments and ministerial offices.

Under the reshuffle, Yoginder Singh has been posted to Home-Vigilance, while Krishna Singh has been assigned to the Transport Department. Dr Jagjivan Ram Sharma has been posted to the office of the Public Works Minister, and Lek Ram has been assigned to the Chief Minister’s Office (CM-A). Anil Kumar will now work in the office of the Health Minister.

The order further assigns Sukhdev Singh to SA R&I-I, Vinod Kumar to Industries-B, Tek Chand to Tourism, Sunit Kumar to GAD-B and Pradeep Kumar to GAD-E.

Other postings include Parveen Singh to Public Works Department-C, Vivek Sharma to Home-B, Nageshwar Chand to Finance-G, Jagdish Chand to the office of the Public Works Minister and Jagat Ram to the Law Department.

Meanwhile, Charu Gupta, who was serving in the Fisheries Department, has been transferred to the Horticulture Department.

The Personnel Department has directed all concerned officers to assume charge at their respective new places of posting with immediate effect. They have also been instructed to submit their joining reports to the Personnel Department through the prescribed official channel.

The latest reshuffle is expected to bring further administrative coordination within the Secretariat and improve the functioning of various departments and ministerial offices.
