New Delhi Rebukes Pakistan At United Nations Over Kashmir Remarks

United Nation: In a fierce diplomatic takedown, India delivered a stinging rebuke to Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), declaring that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir "was, is, and will always remain" an integral and inalienable part of the nation.

The sharp confrontation occurred during a plenary meeting discussing the Annual Report of the UN Security Council. Exercising India's position, the newly appointed Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, strongly objected to an "unwarranted reference" made by Pakistani envoy Asim Iftikhar Ahmad regarding the region.

Harish criticized Islamabad for its systematic misuse of august international platforms to push divisive, politically motivated agendas. He reminded Pakistan—which currently holds a seat as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council—that its position demands a high level of global accountability, rather than serving as a stage for spreading propaganda.

"Pakistan has decided not to spare this forum either from their characteristic misuse for their divisive political interests," Ambassador Harish stated firmly in the UNGA hall. "I would like to remind Pakistan that being a member of the UN Security Council is a huge responsibility. It is not a forum for peddling biased and false narratives."

India further asserted that Pakistan's "empty rhetoric and hollow claims" will never alter the legal and historical ground realities of the territory. New Delhi reiterated that all matters concerning Jammu and Kashmir are strictly internal sovereign affairs, completely dismissing any external locus standi or third-party interference. The Indian delegation urged Pakistan to focus on its own domestic challenges and fulfill its global responsibilities as a Security Council member rather than continuously attempting to internationalize bilateral disputes through misinformed and misleading communications.
