Orange Crush: ACA Orange XI Secures Victory in T20 League Opener
ACA Orange XI defeats ACA Blue by seven wickets in the opening match of the ACA Women’s T-20 League.
Prayagraj : The inaugural ACA Women's T-20 Cricket League kicked off with high energy at the DPS ground this Wednesday, as ACA Orange XI claimed a decisive seven-wicket victory over ACA Blue XI.
Batting first, ACA Blue XI set a competitive target of 129 for four in their allotted 20 overs. Hansi Singh led the charge with a solid 42, supported by Aastha Mishra (27) and an unbeaten 21 from Katyani Pathak. However, disciplined bowling from Radha Pandey, who claimed 2 for 17, kept the scoring in check.
In response, ACA Orange XI chased down the total with poise, reaching 132 for three in 18.4 overs. The chase was anchored by Meenakshi Yadav (40) and Khushi Singh (36), while Jyoti Yadav and Anshika Asthana remained unbeaten to see their side across the finish line.
The tournament was officially opened by Chief Guest Dr. Sujata Singh, Principal of DPS, following a warm welcome from Dr. Julie Ojha, Director of the Allahabad Cricket Association. With sharp umpiring from Ajay Kumar and Nitin Mishra, the league has set a promising tone for women’s cricket in the region.
