Dhananjay Kumar Singh Takes the Helm as ADRM Prayagraj: A New Chapter for North Central Railway

Prayagraj : In a significant administrative transition, Dhananjay Kumar Singh officially assumed the role of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) for the Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway on March 10, 2026.

Mr. Singh takes over the position following the transfer of his predecessor, Naveen Prakash, to South Eastern Railway. Prior to this elevation, Mr. Singh served with distinction as the Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer within the same division, proving his deep-rooted understanding of the region’s operational challenges.

A technocrat by training, Dhananjay Kumar Singh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Madan Mohan Malवीय Engineering College, Gorakhpur. He belongs to the 2007 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME).

His career trajectory reflects a blend of foundational ground-work and international exposure:

Early Career: Started as an Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer in East Coast Railway.

Global Expertise: In 2017, he underwent specialized training in High-Speed Train Technology in Japan, bringing global safety and speed standards to the Indian context.

National Recognition: His career reached a pinnacle in 2025 when he was conferred with the "Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar" by the Railway Board in New Delhi for his exemplary service.

As ADRM, Mr. Singh is expected to leverage his mechanical expertise and international training to enhance the efficiency and modernization of one of India's busiest railway divisions.
