Students Shine in Art Competition and Photo-Archival Exhibition
GGIC Katra students win top prizes in a heritage-themed art competition and photo exhibition on World Heritage Day 2026.
Prayagraj : To commemorate World Heritage Day 2026, a grand "Photo-Archival Exhibition, Art Competition, and Lecture" was organized at the Government Girls Inter College (GGIC), Katra. The event, themed "Our Heritage," saw enthusiastic participation from students who displayed their artistic prowess and learned about India’s rich cultural history.
The program was held under the leadership of Shashi Bala Chaudhary, Principal of GGIC Katra, who served as the convener.
Inauguration and Expert Insight
The event was graced by:
- Chief Guest: Renu Dwivedi, Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Archaeology Department, Lucknow.
- Special Guest: Dr. Subhash Chandra Yadav, Regional Archaeological Officer, Prayagraj.
The dignitaries guided the students through an extensive exhibition of ancient records and photographs. They delivered insightful lectures, emphasizing the importance of preserving our ancient heritage and cultural identity for future generations.
Inspired by the archival exhibition, students participated in a painting competition that reflected their vision of Indian heritage. The winners were honored with gifts and certificates for their outstanding work:
