Samsung Doubles Innovation Grants to ₹2 Crore for 'Solve for Tomorrow' 2026

Lucknow : Commemorating three decades of its presence in India, Samsung has officially launched the fifth edition of its flagship innovation program, ‘Samsung Solve for Tomorrow’. This year, the tech giant is significantly upping the ante, doubling its grant pool to INR 2 Crore to empower the nation's budding innovators to tackle real-world challenges with tech-driven solutions.

A Landmark Year for Innovation
In a massive boost for the #DigitalIndia vision, Samsung’s 2026 edition aims to take innovation deeper into "Bharat." The program is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, offering a substantial financial and mentorship roadmap for young minds:

  • Winning Glory: The top four winning teams will receive incubation grants worth INR 2 Crore and support at IIT Delhi.
  • Tiered Support: The top 20 teams will secure INR 20 Lakh, while the top 40 receive INR 8 Lakh alongside Samsung’s latest devices and professional mentorship.

Themes for a Smarter India
Samsung is inviting students aged 14–22 to submit revolutionary ideas across four critical pillars:

  • AI Living for India: Harnessing artificial intelligence for daily efficiency.
  • Health & Education: Bridging accessibility gaps through technology.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Innovating for a greener tomorrow.
  • Sport & Tech: Enhancing athletic performance and engagement.

Leadership Perspectives
JB Park, President & CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, highlighted the program's evolution into a startup pipeline. "We are more than doubling our outreach to schools, strengthening the ecosystem through design thinking and skilling," he stated.

Supporting the initiative, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Govt. of India, and Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, emphasized that this industry-academia collaboration is vital for nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs who are "solving for the world."

The Roadmap: From Idea to Incubation

  • The six-month journey is structured to ensure maximum impact:
  • Workshops: 100 design-thinking workshops will be held nationwide.
  • Applications: Open from May 7 to July 3, 2026.

Immersive Learning: Shortlisted teams will visit Samsung’s R&D centers in Bengaluru, Noida, and Delhi, gaining first-hand exposure to global innovation standards.

The program culminates in a grand finale where the top 20 teams will pitch their prototypes to a panel of investors and Samsung experts, potentially turning a student project into a viable social enterprise.
