State Age-Group Chess Championship entered its critical seventh round for the Under-15 Open category, the tournament celebrated both the brilliance of young minds and the spirit of Mother’s Day.
The day’s proceedings kicked off with a special Mother’s Day celebration, infusing the competitive arena with a sense of gratitude. Tanushree Mehrotra, Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Sitapur, graced the occasion with an inspiring address.

- The Frontrunners: Yakub Hussain from Prayagraj and Shivay Singh from Varanasi have emerged as the joint leaders, both dominating the field with 6 points each.
