SBI Celebrate 80th Independence Day with National Focus

Lucknow : The State Bank of India, Local Head Office, Lucknow, proudly commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour, paying tribute to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices laid the foundation of a free and sovereign India.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by Chief General Manager, Lucknow Circle, Shri Dipesh Raj.

Addressing the SBI family, Shri Dipesh Raj said that at SBI, our strategic direction continues to be guided by a simple philosophy - Digital First, Customer First and Nation Always and highlighted SBI’ pivotal role in India’s economic growth and inclusive development. He emphasized that SBI’ s extensive branch network and digital infrastructure continue to bridge geographical and financial divides, taking banking services to rural, remote and underserved areas. He further highlighted SBI’s contribution to key sectors including Infrastructure, MSMEs and Agriculture. These initiatives strengthen entrepreneurship, rural livelihood and the vision of Make in India, Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The event featured a series of patriotic cultural performances by SBI employees, showcasing India’s rich heritage and unity in diversity. Patriotic songs and recitations filled the atmosphere with pride and fervour. The event was graced by senior officials, retired officials, employees and their family members, who participated in the celebrations with zeal.
