UNSC, India Outlines 10-Point Afghan Resolve; Slams Pakistan's 'Trade Terrorism' and Propaganda

New York : In a powerful and unyielding address at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting on Afghanistan, India’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador P. Harish, delivered a definitive statement on New Delhi's Afghan policy. While presenting a comprehensive account of India's unwavering humanitarian commitments, Ambassador Harish pulled no punches in exposing Pakistan's geopolitical hypocrisy, double standards, and proxy warfare.

Following the high-stakes session, Ambassador Harish shared a detailed 10-point blueprint on his official social media handle, illustrating India’s deep-rooted solidarity with the Afghan people and its refusal to compromise on regional security.

A 34-Province Development Footprint
Unlike nations that view Afghanistan through a purely transactional lens, Ambassador Harish highlighted that India’s capacity-building and developmental projects span across all 34 provinces of Afghanistan. India is currently steering over 500 vital partnership projects, focusing strictly on high-impact sectors:

  • Healthcare: Significant strides have been made in implementing robust primary and tertiary healthcare frameworks.
  • Infrastructure: Developing critical community-level assets.
  • Disaster Relief: Providing immediate, non-political aid during devastating earthquakes and natural calamities.
  • Human Capital: Investing in the future of Afghan youth through expanded educational avenues, anti-drug addiction programs, and sports cooperation, particularly in cricket.

In a sharp rhetorical strike, the Indian envoy contrasted India’s constructive role with Pakistan's economic blockade tactics. Ambassador Harish noted that India has emerged as the top destination for Afghan exports, facilitated seamlessly by a dedicated 'Air Freight Corridor' established by New Delhi.

He explicitly contrasted this with the "Trade and Transit Terrorism" that Pakistan has historically weaponized to choke the landlocked Afghan economy. Furthermore, India expressed its readiness to collaborate with UN agencies to rehabilitate thousands of Afghan refugees returning from neighboring countries.

Callout on Hypocrisy and "Fitna al-Hindustan" Propaganda
Citing recent United Nations Assistance Mission reports, the Ambassador expressed deep anguish over civilian casualties resulting from cross-border violence, targeted killings, and airstrikes. Launching a direct broadside at Islamabad, he stated:

"Conducting airstrikes during the holy month of Ramadan, killing innocent women and children, while simultaneously lecturing the world on international law and Islamic solidarity is the ultimate definition of hypocrisy."

The Indian diplomat also delivered a fierce rebuttal against the Pakistani government's recent attempts to label domestic terror outfits within its borders as "Fitna al-Hindustan". Branding this as state-sponsored, malicious propaganda disguised in religious terminology, Harish asserted that Islamabad is merely attempting to deflect blame for its own internal security failures onto its neighbors.

Concluding his address, Ambassador Harish reiterated that India's position remains non-negotiable: New Delhi will continue to prioritize unconditional humanitarian aid for the Afghan populace while maintaining a zero-tolerance, unyielding stance against cross-border terrorism.
