Ambedkarnagar : Markets across Ambedkar Nagar are bustling with energy as shopkeepers display vibrant rakhis, gift hampers, and arrays of traditional sweets to welcome Raksha Bandhan. Shoppers have hit the streets in large numbers to prepare for the sacred festival celebrating brother-sister bonds. However, underlying market challenges—specifically a sharp rise in sugar prices and growing anxiety over adulterated sweets—are casting a shadow over the festive spirit. 

Rising prices for essential ingredients like sugar threaten to strain household budgets. In response, consumer experts suggest adopting budget-conscious strategies: prioritizing local goods, purchasing strictly according to immediate needs, and making traditional treats at home.
