NCR Central Hospital Levels Up: GM Naresh Pal Singh Unveils Advanced Medical Tech
GM Naresh Pal Singh inaugurates advanced dental and pathology systems at NCR Central Hospital to enhance diagnostic precision.
Prayagraj : In a major boost to regional healthcare, Naresh Pal Singh, General Manager of North Central Railway (NCR), inaugurated two state-of-the-art medical systems at Central Hospital this week. The upgrades signal a new era of precision diagnostics and patient-centric care for the facility.
The Department of Dentistry saw the debut of a high-tech, multiprogrammable dental chair. According to Dr. Manjulata Handoo, this unit is a "one-stop shop" for oral health, featuring an intra-oral camera, portable X-ray, and a periodontal laser. The laser technology is a game-changer, allowing for biopsies and gum treatments with minimal trauma and almost no bleeding.
Simultaneously, the Department of Pathology launched the VITEK® 2 Compact System. Dr. Usha S. P. Yadav emphasized that this automated system is vital for modern microbiology, providing rapid identification of pathogens and antibiotic susceptibility results within hours—a critical tool in the fight against drug-resistant infections.
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Handoo noted that the hospital’s workload has surged by 20%, a testament to the staff's dedication. To meet this growing demand, he announced ambitious G+3 and G+6 infrastructure projects currently underway. The event was attended by top officials, including AGM Joginder Singh Lakra and PCMD Dr. Rakesh Nigam, marking a significant milestone in NCR's medical capabilities.
