SBI GM Anil Kumar lauds pensioners' invaluable contributions, announcing new welfare schemes for 19,000 retirees in the Lucknow Circle.
Lucknow : Emphasizing the bank's deep-rooted respect for its former employees, Anil Kumar, General Manager of State Bank of India (SBI), Local Head Office Lucknow, stated that pensioners are an inseparable part of the SBI family. Speaking at the annual meeting of the SBI Pensioners’ Association on Friday, he reiterated that the bank is fully committed to ensuring seamless pension payments, medical facilities, and welfare benefits.
"Our senior colleagues are the 'everlasting treasure' of our past," Kumar remarked. "The work they performed during their service remains a constant source of inspiration for us. Providing them with the best facilities and utmost respect is our paramount duty."
The meeting served as a platform for mutual engagement and the protection of rights and honors for the retired workforce. Key highlights from the assembly included:
New Welfare Schemes: The bank announced the launch of several new welfare initiatives designed to benefit the approximately 19,000 retired pensioners and their families within the Lucknow Circle.
Health and Problem Resolution: Dheeraj Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Lucknow West), shared that the bank organized five health camps and discussion forums last year specifically to resolve pensioners' grievances.
Continuous Engagement: Officials assured that such outreach programs would continue uninterrupted, viewing retirement not as rest, but as an opportunity to guide society through experience.
The event saw participation from high-ranking officials including General Managers Rajiv Kumar and Kaushalendra Kumar, DGM and CDO Dhirendra Mahe, and Senior Officers of the Pensioners Federation. Representing the retirees were Dinesh Chandra (President, SBI Pensioners Association, Lucknow Circle) and Atul Swarup (General Secretary). The program was efficiently coordinated by Ashutosh Shukla, Chief Manager (HR).
