CISF Concludes Fire Service Week at NTPC Tanda with Grand Ceremony

Ambedkar Nagar : The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Fire Wing, stationed at NTPC Tanda, officially concluded its Fire Service Week on April 20, 2026. The week-long campaign aimed at enhancing fire safety awareness and emergency preparedness within the industrial township and its surrounding areas.

The closing ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Jayadev Parida, Executive Director of NTPC Tanda, and Smt. Sanghamitra Parida, President of the Garima Mahila Mandal. Other prominent officials included:

• Vinay Kumar Verma (Deputy Commandant, CISF)
• Harsh Kumar Sethi (GM-Operation)
• Subhash Chandra Singh (GM-Vigilance)
• Assistant Commandant M. Danayya, along with several senior managers from the HR and Maintenance departments.

The event was moderated by Assistant Commandant M. Danayya, who provided a detailed report on the various safety activities conducted throughout the week. A highlight of the ceremony was a live firefighting demonstration performed by the CISF personnel. The team showcased expert techniques for extinguishing different types of fires and executing high-pressure rescue operations, drawing applause from the attendees.

Addressing the gathering, Executive Director Jayadev Parida emphasized that public awareness is the strongest tool against fire accidents. He lauded the CISF Fire Wing for their relentless efforts in maintaining a secure environment for the plant and its employees.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Sub-Inspector (Fire) Roshio Babu, who reaffirmed the fire wing's commitment to the safety and security of the NTPC plant.

The ceremony concluded with the official declaration of the week's end by the Chief Guest. To encourage community participation, prizes were distributed to women and school children who emerged as winners in various competitions—including essay writing and safety drills—organized during the Fire Service Week.
