AS Hanumanganj Club Crushes Lukerganj by 207 Runs in U-16 Opener

Prayagraj : In a staggering display of dominance, AS Hanumanganj Club kicked off the 6th KS Sports Color Dress Under-16 Cricket Tournament with a massive 207-run victory over Lukerganj Club. The match, held on Tuesday at the Chak Hariharganj grounds in Jhusi, was defined by a masterclass in power-hitting from Anubhav Gupta and a historic bowling spell by Abuzar Ansari.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, AS Hanumanganj Club set a formidable target. Opening batsman Anubhav Gupta anchored the innings with a blistering 75 runs off just 55 deliveries, decorated with nine boundaries. He was ably supported by Shivansh Jaiswal, who contributed a vital 63, and Kartikeya Rai, who added 28. Despite the onslaught, Lukerganj’s Ishan (4/42) and Shivam Yadav (3/45) managed to pick up wickets, but Hanumanganj finished their 30 overs with a commanding total of 235 runs.

What followed in the second innings was a total collapse of the Lukerganj batting lineup. In an extraordinary feat of precision, Abuzar Ansari dismantled the opposition single-handedly. His bowling figures were nothing short of legendary:

Earlier in the day, the tournament was officially inaugurated by Vijay Rai, Physical Education Teacher at Tagore Public School. He encouraged the young athletes to play with spirit and integrity. The event was organized by Organizing Secretary Vipin Yadav and conducted by Sachin Prakash Singh.
