Bomb Threat Email Triggers Massive Security Search at Greater Noida DM Office

Nodia : A major security alert was triggered at the District Magistrate’s (DM) office in Greater Noida on Monday, July 13, 2026, after authorities received an anonymous bomb threat via email.  Upon receiving the threat, the Surajpur police immediately secured the premises and launched an intensive search operation.

To ensure complete safety, specialized units—including the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Dog Squad, Anti-Sabotage (AS) Check Team, and the Fire Brigade—were deployed to conduct a thorough inspection of the building and the surrounding campus.  

Threat Declared a HoaxAfter several hours of comprehensive checks, officials confirmed that no suspicious objects or explosive materials were found. The threat was subsequently declared a hoax, and normal operations at the DM office have since resumed.  "Nothing suspicious or adverse has come to light during the operation," a police official stated, adding that the situation is completely under control.  

Investigation UnderwayThe local police and a dedicated cyber team have launched a technical investigation to trace the origin of the email and identify the person or persons responsible for sending the threat. Investigators are currently examining digital evidence to determine the source of the communication.  Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid circulating rumors related to the incident, assuring citizens that all necessary precautionary measures and security protocols are being strictly maintained.
