Shimla Deputy Commissioner reviews arrangements ahead of Vice President’s high profile visit

Shimla: In anticipation of the upcoming visit of the Vice President of India, C.P. Radhakrishnan, the Shimla district administration has shifted into high gear. A comprehensive, high-level review meeting was chaired by Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap to finalize multi-layered security protocols, logistics, and administrative strategies to ensure the VVIP visit concludes smoothly.

 The meeting brought together heads of various key departments, including the local police, public works, healthcare, fire safety, and disaster management.

Deputy Commissioner Kashyap issued stringent directives to all departmental heads to maintain flawless coordination. Central to the discussions were the security protocols at designated helipads, safe touchdown and takeoff coordination, barricading, and maintaining communication networks between tracking agencies.

 "Every arrangement must strictly comply with the established protocols mandated by the Government of India and the state framework. There is absolutely zero room for systemic or operational lapses during this high-profile visit," Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap emphasized during the administrative brief.  

The district administration has put a special emphasis on traffic management plans to prevent disruptions to the public while ensuring a secure corridor for the VVIP convoy. Simultaneously, the health department has been directed to place round-the-clock medical teams and fully equipped ambulances at strategic venues.

The fire brigade services have also been asked to deploy emergency response vehicles at the helipads and event locations. Furthermore, municipal authorities have been ordered to carry out extensive sanitation drives along the transit routes and ensure uninterrupted electricity and power backup systems.
