Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Orders 24 Hour Rain Calamity Compensation In Uttar Pradesh
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directs state officials to disburse relief funds within 24 hours following fatal heavy rains across Uttar Pradesh.
Lucknow : Following devastating spells of relentless heavy rain, severe thunderstorms, and lightning strikes that have battered multiple districts of Uttar Pradesh and claimed several lives, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the state administration to clear all ex-gratia compensation amounts to the victims' families within a strict 24-hour window.
The sweeping order emphasizes absolute bureaucratic accountability, warning that any delay or procedural negligence in disaster response will invite severe disciplinary action.
Expressing profound condolences to the bereaved families, the Chief Minister put all divisional commissioners and district magistrates across the state on high alert. Senior officials have been directed to personally step onto the ground, assess localized damage, and coordinate rescue efforts dynamically.
The state government will disburse an immediate financial relief package of 4 lakh rupees each to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the calamity.
The continuous downpours have triggered localized flooding, collapsed structural walls, uprooted power grids, and caused substantial damage to public properties and agricultural land across major zones.
To shield rural communities from extreme economic distress, the state directive also mandates immediate assessments for livestock losses and crop damages, ensuring that farmers facing extensive field damage receive targeted financial packages without complex paperwork.
Medical institutions have been instructed to prioritize the immediate and proper treatment of all injured citizens.
Meanwhile, the Relief Commissioner’s 24-hour Integrated Control and Command Centre remains fully functional to track continuous updates, process field requests, and issue localized weather alerts.
The administration continues to urge citizens to stay indoors during volatile weather shifts, reassuring the public that every necessary resource is deployed to stabilize affected areas.
