CM YOGI ADITYANATH BOOSTS SKILL DEVELOPMENT TO MAKE UP LEADING SKILL HUB

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the action plan of the Vocational Education and Skill Development Department, instructing officials to strengthen the alignment between Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and modern industries. To maximize employment prospects, the Chief Minister directed the department to tailor courses to industry demands, expand apprenticeship programs, and promote on-the-job training.

Highlighting the importance of global opportunities, the Chief Minister mandated the regular organization of job fairs (Rozgar Melas) at all divisional headquarters. Furthermore, to enhance training standards, he ordered the expedited recruitment of instructors, proposing that experienced instructors receive appropriate weightage during the regular selection process.

The review also focused on the progress of the Center for Innovation, Invention, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) centers. Directives were issued to make the facilities in Gorakhpur, Muzaffarnagar, and Bareilly operational at the earliest, transforming them into centers of excellence for modern technology and industry-based instruction. Additionally, special focus will be placed on providing skill training and employment to youth from families identified under the Zero Poverty Campaign. Over the past five years, the UP Skill Development Mission has trained 21.13 lakh youth and placed 12.94 lakh candidates in jobs.
