Solan police arrest woman and her paramour for plotting husband’s murder
A woman and her paramour were arrested by Solan police for conspiring and executing her husband’s brutal murder.
Solan: In a shocking incident that has rattled the peaceful district of Solan, the local police have cracked a blind murder case, arresting a woman and her paramour for the brutal killing of her husband. The breakthrough came after a meticulous investigation by the cyber cell and forensic teams, revealing a cold-blooded conspiracy rooted in an illicit extramarital relationship.
According to senior police officials, the victim’s body was discovered under suspicious circumstances in a secluded area on the outskirts of the town. Initially registered as an accidental death, the post-mortem report quickly turned the tide, confirming severe internal trauma and asphyxiation as the primary causes of death. Prompted by the medical findings, the Solan police immediately launched a comprehensive homicide investigation.
During the preliminary inquiries, the behavior of the victim's wife raised red flags among investigators. Technical surveillance and detailed analysis of call data records (CDR) exposed a high frequency of late-night communications between the wife and a local youth, who was later identified as her paramour. When subjected to sustained interrogation, the duo cracked and confessed to orchestrating the entire crime.
"The suspects confessed to planning the murder over several weeks. They viewed the husband as a major obstacle to their relationship and decided to eliminate him by luring him to an isolated spot," a senior investigating officer reported.
The police have booked both individuals under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder and criminal conspiracy. Key physical evidence, including the mobile phones used to coordinate the crime and the vehicle employed to transport the victim, has been confiscated. The accused were produced before a local court, which remanded them to police custody for further interrogation to ascertain if any contracted accomplices were involved in the execution.
