Delhi Man Kills Wife Over Infidelity Suspicions Before Committing Suicide

New Delhi : A horrific case of murder-suicide has shaken outer Delhi's Ranhola area, where a 28-year-old man bludgeoned his young wife to death before consuming lethal chemical substances. According to local law enforcement, the entire tragedy unfolded due to the husband's mounting anxieties and deep suspicions regarding his wife's marital fidelity.

The deceased individuals were identified as Vinay and his 24-year-old wife, Nisha. The couple had been married for nearly five years and shared a three-year-old daughter. The family had moved into a ground-floor rented accommodation in Tilangpur Kotla village around seven months ago.

Vinay worked at a private firm in the neighboring Uttam Nagar locality.  According to senior investigators, the incident came to light after the local police station received an emergency call regarding an alleged attempt to murder a woman.

 When a police team forced entry into the house, they discovered Nisha lying unconscious on the floor with critical head trauma. She was immediately rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Mangolpuri, where attending medical staff declared her brought dead.

Preliminary inquiries indicate that a heated domestic dispute erupted between the couple when Vinay allegedly caught Nisha talking to an unidentified individual on her phone. Losing his temper, Vinay grabbed a heavy storage battery from the room and struck her repeatedly on the head.

 Immediately after the assault, he ingested toxic aluminum phosphide tablets.He then picked up his minor daughter and walked over to his mother's residence located just 150 yards away.

There, Vinay confessed to his sister, Priya, that he had murdered Nisha and consumed poison. Although his family immediately shifted him to the same hospital, Vinay also succumbed to the poison shortly after arrival. The local police have registered a formal case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
