Pathak’s Powerhouse Century Propels Kids Prayagraj Club to Victory

Prayagraj : A masterclass in power-hitting by Devansh Pathak defined the latest fixture of the Amrit Lal Bharti Under-19 Cricket Competition, as Kids Prayagraj Club secured a 34-run win over Sonamati Club this Wednesday.

Taking center stage at the Government Press Ground, Pathak delivered an explosive performance, smashing 157 runs off just 94 deliveries. His dominant innings, decorated with 19 boundaries and four towering sixes, allowed Kids Prayagraj Club to post a formidable total of 214/3 in their 25 overs. Chitransh provided steady support with 33 runs, while Shivam Kesarwani was the pick of the bowlers for Sonamati Club, taking 2 for 40.

Sonamati Club mounted a spirited chase but ultimately fell short, finishing on 180/6. Anand Kumar Yadav led the resistance with a valiant 80, supported by Aditya Vikram Bind’s 55, but the pressure of the mounting run rate proved too much. Ranjan Bharti spearheaded the bowling attack with 2/25, while the centurion, Devansh Pathak, also contributed with a wicket.

Unsurprisingly, Devansh Pathak was named Man of the Match for his extraordinary all-round contribution, securing full points for his team in the tournament standings.
