A special training program by IFFCO in Prayagraj empowers women farmers with knowledge of modern farming techniques.

Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. D.K. Singh, Principal of the institute, highlighted the invaluable contribution of women to the country's agricultural sector. "India is a country of farmers, and women have been instrumental in every stage of farming, from sowing and harvesting to animal husbandry," he stated. Dr. Singh emphasized the revolutionary potential of IFFCO's Nano Fertilizers and urged the participants to adopt them for better yields. He provided a detailed explanation on the use of Nano Urea Plus, Nano Copper, Nano Zinc, and Nano DAP specifically for paddy cultivation.
The training session also featured Savita Shukla, head of the Fruit Preservation and Food Processing Unit, who educated the women on various methods of preparing pickles and jams. She underscored the importance of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) as a tool for economic empowerment and self-reliance.
Mukesh Tiwari, the training in-charge, led the program and stressed the need for soil testing for healthy and sustainable farming. He also provided valuable information on the use of bio-fertilizers and bio-decomposers to maintain soil health and reduce reliance on chemical inputs.
Participants were taken on a field visit to see the practical application and results of the nano fertilizers and bio-fertilizers on paddy crops. They were also given a tour of various units within CORDET to familiarize them with the institution’s activities.
The event saw the presence of Pratap Bahadur Singh, the village head of Bagai Kala, along with CORDET Phulpur officials including Dr. Harishchandra, Sumit Tewatia, Anjali Chaudhary, Dr. Anuradha Rai, and Rajesh Kumar Singh.
