Kanpur's Ardhangini Exhibition Empowers Women Entrepreneurs Ahead of Festive Season

Kanpur (UP Plus Bureau) : The one-day Ardhangini Exhibition kicked off with high spirits and enthusiasm at Rangoli Guest House, Kanpur, offering a dedicated platform to celebrate and boost local women entrepreneurs. The event was formally inaugurated with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Chief Guest Shweta Mishra, City President (Unnao).

Speaking at the event, organizer Neha Rastogi highlighted the core mission behind the initiative, stating that the exhibition has been consistently working for several years to help women become self-reliant and carve out a strong, independent identity in society. She noted that while the Government of India continues to launch key policies for women empowerment and employment, platforms like the Ardhangini Exhibition play a vital role at the grassroots level by giving women an active marketplace to turn their skills into sustainable livelihoods.

The exhibition featured a diverse range of stalls managed entirely by women artisans and creators. Visitors explored handcrafted daily utility items, artisanal crafts, and gourmet food stalls. With the upcoming festive season and Karwa Chauth around the corner, the boutique section emerged as a major attraction, showcasing exclusive festive wear, intricate designer outfits, and contemporary fashion trends.

The inauguration saw the presence of several prominent figures and esteemed guests from the city, including Poonam Rastogi, Brijesh Mishra, Annu Awasthi, Pankaj Rastogi, Sucheta Wahi, Poonam Rastogi, and Pavitra Rastogi, all of whom praised the initiative for championing women's economic independence.
