Rahul Dravid Gifts Iconic Signed No. 19 Jersey to Abhishek Bachchan

Dublin :  In a heartwarming moment celebrating a shared passion for developing global cricket, legendary former Indian captain Rahul Dravid presented his iconic, personally signed No. 19 jersey to actor and sports entrepreneur Abhishek Bachchan.  

The special jersey features Dravid’s signature and a heartfelt handwritten note reading: “Dear Abhishek, thank you for your support to the game. Best always, Rahul Dravid.”   The exchange took place against the backdrop of the inaugural European T20 Premier League (ETPL) in Dublin.

The ICC-sanctioned league features six city-based franchises from Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands, bringing together top international names and emerging European talent. Dravid, who co-owns the Dublin Guardians franchise, joined league co-founder Abhishek Bachchan as the tournament moved into its decisive knockouts.  

Co-founded by Abhishek Bachchan alongside Saurav Banerjee, Priyanka Kaul, and Dhiraj Malhotra, the ETPL has gained significant traction in its debut season. The World Cricketers' Association (WCA) commended the league, stating that "ETPL sets the benchmark" for establishing high professional standards in European cricket right from its inception.   .

The special exchange between the cricket icon and the Bollywood star highlights the growing synergy and passion driving the development of cricket across new frontiers in Europe.
