Rotary Clubs Launch Life-Saving HPV Vaccination Drive for Young Girls in Lucknow

Lucknow : In a vital step toward safeguarding young women’s health and raising awareness about cervical cancer prevention, the Rotary Club of Rajdhani and the Rotary Club of Lucknow Elegance jointly organized an HPV Vaccination Camp at Prerna Study Hall in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.

During the health initiative, 60 young girls from Prerna Study Hall received the HPV vaccine, shielding them against human papillomavirus and significantly lowering their risk of developing cervical cancer in the future.

The drive included an interactive educational session led by Dr. Shipra Nath from the Indian Medical Association. Dr. Nath educated the students on the crucial role of HPV vaccination, detailed how timely preventive healthcare protects against HPV-related diseases, and stressed the necessity of taking early action to ensure long-term health and well-being.

The initiative was smoothly coordinated by Rotary Coordinator Aniket. Key dignitaries present during the drive included Archana Agarwal (President, Rotary Club of Rajdhani), Vivek Agarwal, Rita Jaiswal, and Aparna Mishra (Charter President, Rotary Club of Lucknow Elegance).

Several dedicated Rotary members, including Pratima Tripathi, Krishna Agarwal, Madhulika Singh, and Dr. Deepti Chopra, extended active support to ensure the camp's success.

Beyond administering vaccines, the program focused on fostering open dialogue around preventive healthcare and empowering young girls through awareness. Aligning with their core vision—"Vaccinate. Educate. Empower."—the participating Rotary Clubs reaffirmed their commitment to building healthier communities and striving toward a cervical cancer-free future.
