NEW DELHI- Extending its blistering rally, silver prices hit a fresh record of ₹2,32,741 per kilogram on the MCX this Friday. Driven by a global surge past the USD 75-per-ounce mark, the white metal has gained over 14% since mid-December, attracting massive investment.
Simultaneously, gold futures for February delivery scaled a new peak of ₹1,39,216 per 10 grams. Geopolitical tensions involving Venezuela and Russia, combined with expectations of US Federal Reserve rate cuts, continue to fuel this unprecedented bull run in bullion markets.
