Ram Charan’s Peddi Passes Monday Test, Nears ₹300 Crore Worldwide

The Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer rural sports drama Peddi continues its sensational run at the global box office. After a phenomenal four-day extended opening weekend, the film faced its crucial first Monday test on Day 5, managing to hold its ground despite a predictable weekday decline.  According to early trade reports by Sacnilk, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial minted ₹12.05 crore net in India on Monday.

This represents a 62.5% drop from its massive Sunday haul of ₹32.15 crore, which is a standard trajectory for big-budget pan-India releases. The film registered an overall domestic theatre occupancy of 28.67% on its fifth day, with the Telugu version driving the maximum footfall, followed by steady numbers from the Hindi and Tamil dubbed markets.

Despite the standard weekday correction, Peddi has achieved massive milestones in record time. Within just five days of its release, the film's total domestic net collection stands at ₹169.70 crore, pushing its domestic gross past the ₹200 crore mark to comfortably rest at ₹201.92 crore. Globally, boosted by a strong $3 million push in North America and overseas markets, the movie has accumulated an astronomical ₹292 crore gross and is poised to enter the coveted ₹300 crore club today.

Peddi has officially outpaced the lifetime domestic collections of several recent high-profile releases, including Ram Charan's own Game Changer and Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par. While the film recently drew online traction regarding the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor’s character—prompting an immediate, respectful edit and apology from director Buchi Babu Sana—audience curiosity and Ram Charan’s raw, powerful performance as a marginalized villager fighting for dignity through sports have successfully sustained its box office momentum.
