AIMIM open to alliance with Samajwadi Party, BSP for 2027 UP elections

Lucknow: In a major political development ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi announced that his party is open to forming an alliance with non-BJP opposition forces, including the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Owaisi emphasized that any coalition must be built on mutual respect and equal representation to effectively challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Launching AIMIM's election campaign across key districts in western and eastern Uttar Pradesh, Owaisi stated that the primary objective of his party is to stop the return of the BJP to power.
