Probe reveals Manish concealed stolen Ram Temple funds on Tinnu Yadav's instructions

Ayodhya: Investigation into the multi-lakh donation embezzlement case at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya has revealed that accused Manish Yadav concealed stolen cash on the direct instructions of his uncle, Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinnu. The findings emerged following joint custodial interrogation by the police and the Special Investigation Team (SIT).  

According to police sources, Tinnu Yadav—who managed key access to the temple’s donation boxes (hundis) despite lacking formal authorization—leveraged his influence to place Manish in the cash-counting section. During counting operations, Manish systematically siphoned off physical currency and concealed the funds across undisclosed locations and bank accounts as directed by Tinnu. 

Custodial Interrogation: A special anti-corruption court granted 39-hour police remand for both key accused to trace the full trail of siphoned money.Recoveries & Asset Freeze: Police have so far recovered cash, gold ornaments, and vehicles, alongside freezing several bank accounts belonging to the accused.  

Systemic Oversight: The SIT inquiry highlighted severe procedural flaws in cash transportation and a lack of daily physical screening during counting shifts.  Investigators are taking the duo to multiple locations to recover remaining proceeds, verify real estate investments, and identify any additional beneficiaries in the wider conspiracy.
