UP Government Establishes Dedicated Development Board to Guarantee Social Equality and Inclusive Growth

Lucknow : In a major step toward fostering social inclusion and equitable welfare distribution, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended a special gratitude ceremony in Lucknow organized by the Vimukta (Denotified) and Ghumantu (Nomadic) communities. The event was held to mark the official establishment of the 'Uttar Pradesh Nomadic Development Board,' a specialized body designed to address the socio-economic needs of historically marginalized migratory populations.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed that the core philosophy of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (Together with All, Development for All) remains the guiding principle for governance across the state. He emphasized that true societal progress can only be achieved when every community—regardless of caste, religion, region, or linguistic background—receives equal respect, participation, and economic empowerment.

Highlighting the vision of the dual-engine administration, the Chief Minister stated that government initiatives are structured to eliminate historical disparities. The newly constituted board aims to streamline access to essential civic entitlements, including housing, healthcare, formal education, skill development, and financial inclusion programs, specifically tailored for mobile and itinerant groups.

For decades, denotified and nomadic tribes faced structural barriers that limited their access to state welfare benefits due to the lack of permanent residential documentation. The establishment of this dedicated board is expected to bridge this institutional gap by creating targeted policy framework mechanisms, ensuring that every eligible individual from these communities receives direct support without administrative hurdles.

Representatives of the Vimukta and Ghumantu communities expressed their gratitude to the state leadership during the event, citing the initiative as a historic milestone toward dignity, identity recognition, and sustainable livelihood support. The government pledged to continue expanding outreach schemes, reinforcing its commitment to bringing every vulnerable section into the mainstream of regional growth.
