St. Joseph's College Hosts ASISC Fr. George Hess Declamation Contest 2026; Alisha, Sanidhya, Ayushi Win Top Honors

Prayagraj : St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj successfully hosted the prestigious ASISC Fr. George Hess, S.J. Memorial Declamation Competition (Zonal Level 2026). The event brought together gifted student speakers from 10 prominent schools across the Prayagraj zone, offering a vibrant platform to display eloquence, confidence, and public speaking skills.

The proceedings commenced with a solemn prayer led by Abiel Sunish Thomas, followed by an uplifting hymn performed by the college choir. Welcoming the distinguished judges, visiting delegates, and participants, Rev. Father Walter D'Silva, Principal of St. Joseph’s College, extended his best wishes and highlighted the role of literary forums in building student leadership.

The panel of judges comprised eminent experts Dr. Rashmi Jain, Pranjal Parihar, and Dr. Mritunjay Rao. College Captain Anosh K. John handled the stage coordination. During the judges' deliberation session, Class 8 student Shridhar Puri enthralled the audience with a captivating flute performance.

Sub-Junior Category: Alisha Ali from Girls' High School secured the First Position, while Daksh Raj Talwar of St. Joseph's College bagged the Second Position.

Junior Category: Sanidhya Sharma of St. John's Co-Ed School stood First, followed by Zainab Simab from Girls' High School in Second Position.

Senior Category: Ayushi Yadav of Girls' High School bagged First Place, while Daksh Abhishekt Lall from St. Joseph's College claimed Second Place.
