JAMMU- Jammu and Kashmir successfully conducted a territory-wide Pulse Polio immunization drive this Sunday. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah personally urged parents to ensure every eligible child receives the vaccine, reinforcing the government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the health and future of the region's youth.
With nearly 11,000 booths and 40,000 health workers deployed, the campaign aims to vaccinate approximately 20 lakh children. Abdullah lauded the dedication of frontline volunteers in remote border areas, emphasizing that community participation is vital to sustaining the Union Territory’s polio-free status.
