Maharana Pratap’s Values Continue to Inspire Generations, States Speaker

Udaipur : Highlighting the rich cultural fabric and historical resilience of India, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated that the legendary Mewar king, Maharana Pratap, remains an unparalleled symbol of patriotism, sacrifice, and relentless courage.

Addressing a grand commemorative event dedicated to the warrior king’s life and legacy in Udaipur, Birla asserted that his ideals continue to act as a powerful guiding force for present and future generations.  

The Speaker emphasized that the historic land of Mewar has delivered a timeless message of self-respect and unwavering commitment to national identity. He remarked that Maharana Pratap consciously chose a life of extreme hardship in exile over submissive royal comforts to safeguard the sovereignty of his kingdom and the dignity of his people.  "

The historic battle of Haldighati has transcended the pages of text books to become a living, breathing symbol of resistance against foreign oppression," Birla stated. He pointed out that despite facing acute resource constraints, Maharana Pratap successfully united the indigenous Bhil community and ordinary citizens, rising above social divisions to mount a formidable challenge against a vast empire.

Linking the warrior's historical resistance to contemporary national objectives, the Speaker urged today's youth to channel this rich legacy of dedication and hard work. He noted that building a truly developed India (Viksit Bharat) requires a harmonious blend of profound cultural heritage and cutting-edge modernity.  

The event also remembered other legendary icons of Mewar, including Maharani Padmini, Maharana Kumbha, and Rana Punja, framing them as eternal sources of inspiration for national service. Birla expressed his absolute confidence that Maharana Pratap's enduring ethos would forever motivate future generations to prioritize national interest and self-reliance above personal gain.
