Lahaul Spiti MLA Reviews Progress of Bridge Restoration at Jahalma Nullah

Keylong: To ensure swift restoration of vital road infrastructure, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lahaul-Spiti conducted a comprehensive on-site review of the ongoing bridge repair and restoration work at the Jahalma nullah. The strategic bridge, which serves as a crucial transit artery for several remote tribal villages in the valley, had recently suffered severe structural damages due to flash floods and heavy debris accumulation triggered by incessant mountain rains.

During the high-level inspection, the MLA engaged with senior engineers and ground personnel from the Public Works Department (PWD) and Border Roads Organisation (BRO). The legislator closely assessed the pace of the construction, alignment modifications, and the deployment of heavy machinery aimed at reinforcing the bridge's foundations against future ecological vulnerabilities.

Emphasizing the urgency of the project, the MLA directed the administrative officials to execute the restoration on a war footing.
