Congress to Launch Statewide Protests in Himachal Over Ram Mandir Donation Row

Shimla: The political landscape in Himachal Pradesh is set to heat up as the ruling Congress party announced its decision to launch a massive, statewide agitation. The protests are aimed at highlighting alleged financial irregularities and corruption surrounding the collection of donations for the Ram Mandir. The decision was formalized during a high-level party meeting held in the state capital, attended by senior cabinet ministers, state unit chiefs, and local block leaders.

Addressing a press conference, senior Congress leaders stated that the party will organize coordinated demonstrations across all district and block headquarters in the state. The party alleges that recent investigative reports pointing toward the misappropriation of sacred temple funds have deeply hurt the sentiments of millions of devotees. Congress has demanded an independent, high-level judicial inquiry to trace the financial trail of the collected funds.

"The faith of millions cannot be used as a shield to cover up financial discrepancies. We are taking this issue to the streets of Himachal to ensure complete accountability and transparency," a senior party spokesperson declared. In response, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dismissed the protest call as a politically motivated stunt aimed at diverting public attention from the state government's internal administrative failures. The BJP asserted that all temple transactions are completely digitized and transparently audited. However, Congress remains firm on its stance, mobilizing its youth and women wings to set up massive public rallies. The political face-off is expected to intensify over the coming days as both parties prepare to clash over the sensitive issue across the hill state.
