Shimla : A high-level public delegation from the remote Kupvi area of Shimla district officially called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at his official residence today. The meeting focused on accelerating infrastructure growth and addressing pressing civic issues faced by the residents of the sub-division.

Led by prominent local leaders, including Zila Parishad Member Mannat Tegwan and Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Yashpal Tanaik, the delegation briefed the Chief Minister on several localized challenges. Key issues raised during the interaction included the need for upgrading rural road connectivity, expanding healthcare facilities, and addressing staff shortages in regional educational institutions. The delegation emphasized that the rugged topography of the Kupvi area demands special administrative attention to ensure basic amenities reach the grassroots level.

Responding to the grievances, Chief Minister Sukhu assured the delegation that the state government is deeply committed to the balanced development of all remote and backward pockets of Himachal Pradesh. He stated that the welfare of rural communities remains at the absolute core of his governance model.

"The genuine demands and grievances brought forward by the people of Kupvi will be reviewed sympathetically and addressed on a top-priority basis," the Chief Minister affirmed. He further directed the concerned administrative departments to evaluate the feasibility of the proposed infrastructure projects immediately.

The visiting representatives expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for his patient hearing and positive assurance. Local leaders remarked that the government's proactive approach toward remote regions like Kupvi would significantly bridge the developmental gap and improve the overall quality of life for rural residents.
