Cocktail 2 Day 1 Advance Booking Grosses Over Rs 4 Crore
Ahead of its theatrical release, Homi Adajania's Cocktail 2 grosses over four crore rupees in day one advance bookings.
Mumbai : Generating strong pre-release momentum, the highly anticipated romantic comedy-drama Cocktail 2 has scored a solid start at the box office. According to early industry trade estimates, the film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna has successfully grossed over ₹4 crore across India in day one advance bookings, including blocked seats.
Data shared by box office tracker Sacnilk reveals that Cocktail 2 kick-started its pre-sale window on a promising note, locking in over 71,000 ticket sales for approximately 8,259 scheduled shows nationwide. Excluding blocked seats, the clean advance ticket gross stands firm at ₹2.49 crore.
With the strategic inclusion of blocked regional seating, the cumulative gross tracking easily breached the ₹4.66 crore mark ahead of its grand theatrical debut. A deeper analysis of the state-wise data highlights urban centers as the primary engine driving these numbers. Delhi-NCR emerged as the most lucrative territory, pulling in a sizable response, closely followed by Maharashtra, where strong metropolitan multiplex networks boosted ticket sales significantly.
Other regional circuits, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Karnataka, registered moderate pre-release occupancies that are expected to surge over the weekend.Directed by Homi Adajania and backed by Maddock Films, Cocktail 2 serves as a modern spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit romance.
The narrative outlines a chaotic, complex love triangle between Kunal (Shahid Kapoor), Ally (Kriti Sanon), and Diya (Rashmika Mandanna). Notably, the project has secured an 'A' (Adults Only) certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an official runtime of 150 minutes. Trade analysts predict that if walk-in audiences and spot bookings pick up rapidly on opening day, the film is comfortably on track to register a domestic opening in the range of ₹7 crore to ₹11 crore
