VISAKHAPATNAM-The second phase of the BIMSTEC cancer care training officially commenced at the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Visakhapatnam on January 5, 2026. Organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, this four-week program hosts 35 oncology experts from six neighboring nations.
This healthcare initiative aligns with India’s "Neighborhood First" policy, aiming to bridge regional gaps in Onco-Pathology and Radiation Oncology. By sharing medical expertise, India strengthens regional health security and fosters collaboration across the Bay of Bengal for better patient outcomes.
