Prayagraj : As the countdown to Magh Mela 2026 begins, Divisional Commissioner Soumya Aggarwal conducted a comprehensive ground inspection of various fair sectors on Sunday. Accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Seelam Sai Teja and a team of senior engineers, the Commissioner scrutinized the progress of infrastructure projects vital for the millions of devotees expected to arrive.

During her visit, the Commissioner focused on the construction and stabilization of the various bathing ghats. She received detailed briefings from the Superintending and Executive Engineers regarding the status of basic amenities, including water supply, lighting, and sanitation. Emphasizing the sanctity and scale of the event, she issued a strict directive to ensure that all ghats and essential facilities are fully operational before the official commencement of the fair.

Further, Commissioner Aggarwal instructed all Sector Magistrates and departmental engineers to remain on high alert. She mandated continuous field visits to their respective jurisdictions to monitor real-time progress and address any technical bottlenecks immediately. The administration's proactive approach aims to provide a seamless and secure experience for the pilgrims during one of India's largest religious congregations.
