Yogi Slams Opposition Hypocrisy Amid Ram Temple Theft Probe

Ayodhya : AUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing political attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress, accusing them of gross opportunism and "double standards" regarding the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Addressing a large public gathering in Rudauli, the Chief Minister pointed out the hypocrisy of opposition parties that once vehemently opposed the temple's construction but are now masquerading as protectors of Hindu faith.  

The fierce political pushback comes as the opposition heavily targets the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over allegations of a multi-crore donation theft at the shrine. Slamming their sudden concern, CM Yogi reminded the public of historical realities. He noted that the Congress party previously deployed a team of advocates to create legal hurdles for the temple and went as far as submitting a shameless affidavit in the Supreme Court claiming Lord Ram was merely a myth.  

Turning his crosshairs toward the Samajwadi Party, Adityanath recalled the dark days of the 1990 Ram Janmabhoomi movement under the Mulayam Singh Yadav regime. "These are the very same people who ordered police firing on innocent karsevaks (devotees) and ordered baton charges on anyone chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Today, they have the audacity to come forward and give us sermons on faith," the Chief Minister stated.  Reassuring the public, Yogi Adityanath confirmed that a high-level, three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) is aggressively probing the administrative discrepancies at the request of the temple trust. He guaranteed that the ongoing investigation will bring out the absolute truth with complete transparency. Appealing for restraint, he strongly urged all political factions to stop making reckless, unverified remarks that could hurt the deep spiritual sentiments of millions of Ram devotees worldwide.
