Ambedkar Nagar CDO Pushes for ODF Plus Excellence in SBM-G Review Meeting
Ambedkar Nagar CDO Anand Kumar Shukla chaired a district-level Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) review meeting, directing officials to expedite pending works, strengthen waste management, and actively launch the "Mera Plastic, Meri Jimmedari" campaign.
Ambedkar Nagar:Following the directives of District Magistrate Mrs. Eesha Priya, Chief Development Officer (CDO) Anand Kumar Shukla presided over the District Level Committee meeting for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) at the Collectorate Auditorium. The meeting focused on reviewing the ongoing progress of various initiatives under the flagship cleanliness drive, emphasizing timely and high-quality completion of pending tasks.
During the comprehensive review, key focus areas included:
Construction of individual household toilets and prompt verification of pending applications.
Financial progress and operational maintenance of community toilets.
Advancement of ODF Plus Model villages alongside solid and liquid waste management.
Smooth operation of Resource Recovery Centers (RRC), garbage collection vehicles, plastic waste management, and Fecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTP).
CDO Anand Kumar Shukla instructed all line departments to strictly adhere to the established parameters of the Swachh Bharat Mission. He urged officials to clear pending approvals rapidly, ensure continuous upkeep of community toilets, and fortify waste disposal systems at the Gram Panchayat level.
Highlighting the importance of community involvement, the CDO remarked that sanitation is not merely a government scheme, but a public movement. He directed teams to promote scientific waste disposal, reduce plastic usage, and actively roll out the "Mera Plastic, Meri Jimmedari" (My Plastic, My Responsibility) campaign across all villages to maximize citizen participation.

The meeting concluded with instructions to maintain seamless inter-departmental coordination to build clean, healthy, and developed villages. Key attendees included Block Administrators of Katehari and Baskhari, the District Development Officer (DDO), Project Director (DRDA), District Panchayat Raj Officer (DPRO), Block Development Officers (BDOs), and members of the Swachh Bharat Mission committee.
