THANE- The Thane Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) has dismissed a petition seeking compensation for a 24-year-old man's death in a 2004 road mishap. Presiding officer K P Shrikhande ruled the claim "stale," as it was filed twelve years after the incident.
The tribunal highlighted critical evidentiary gaps, noting the absence of a post-mortem report and failure to prove negligence by the car driver. Consequently, the plea by the grieving parents was rejected due to lack of medical and legal documentation.
