Ram Temple Trust resumes donation counting in two shifts under new supervision
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust resumes two-shift donation counting with enhanced monitoring and strict security measures.
Ayodhya: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has resumed the process of counting devotee donations in two shifts following a trial phase, implementing heightened security protocols and deploying dedicated supervisors to ensure complete financial transparency. The decision comes in the wake of the recent donation embezzlement investigation and subsequent staffing restructuring at the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
Under the revised system, the State Bank of India (SBI) has deployed new personnel to conduct the counting in two distinct shifts rather than a single extended workday. To oversee operations and prevent any procedural lapses, the Trust has appointed ex-serviceman S.P. Dubey along with additional supervisory staff to directly monitor the counting area in the Pilgrim Facilitation Centre basement.
Two-Shift Operations Restored: Counting has returned to a two-shift schedule to manage daily offerings efficiently while reducing physical strain on counting personnel.
Enhanced Surveillance: Multi-layered security protocols, mandatory frisking, and digital tracking remain strictly enforced for all counting staff.
Daily Bank Deposits: Between ₹15 lakh and ₹40 lakh in daily cash offerings are currently being processed and deposited directly into bank accounts under close supervision.
The Trust leadership emphasized that these operational adjustments, combined with two-layer security screening by police and private guards, will safeguard devotees' offerings and maintain absolute institutional integrity.
