Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lays foundation for Lodheshwar Mahadev Corridor

Barabanki: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the historic Lodheshwar Mahadev Temple in Barabanki today and laid the foundation stone for the ambitious Mahadeva Corridor project. Modeled on the lines of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the grand temple corridor aims to restore the ancient site's sanctity while creating world-class amenities for millions of visiting devotees.

During his visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 82 development projects valued at approximately ₹550 crore for Barabanki district. Addressing a large public gathering, CM Yogi highlighted that historical sites across Uttar Pradesh suffered prolonged neglect in previous decades, but the current administration remains steadfast in preserving India's spiritual and cultural heritage.

Kashi Model Architecture: The corridor will feature carved stones brought from Rajasthan, widened entry gates, improved civic infrastructure, and modern queue management systems.

Boosting Religious Tourism: The redevelopment will establish Barabanki as a major pilgrimage hub, driving local business growth, hospitality opportunities, and youth employment.

Civic Infrastructure Push: Alongside temple revitalization, associated road widening, drainage upgrades, and public safety initiatives were unveiled for the region.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the double-engine government is actively restoring dozens of ancient pilgrimage sites across Uttar Pradesh, ensuring seamless connectivity, safety, and modern facilities for pilgrims.
